Uwharrie Chair The Uwharrie Chair company is named after the surround Uwharrie Mountains of North Carolina. The products are hand crafted in the nation's furniture capital of High Point, North Carolina. The Uwharrie furniture, much like the surrounding mountains, reflect a distinct rustic character and relaxation. Pressure treated Southern Yellow Pine is used to make all Uwharrie furniture. The pine is insect and rot resistant and can be stained, painted, or left in a natural state.
The Uwharrie company uses a one inch thick premium grade lumber kiln dried after being treated. Because of the natural process used to build Uwharrie furniture, you should anticipate some loss of paint, and some surface cracking. The wood will even become slightly warped, which adds to the unique character of the Uwharrie product. Products are warranted against terminates, decay and corrosion of hardware under normal conditions.
Uwharrie offer a wide variety of finishes, and colors for all of their products. Finishes include a Wash, Distressed, Pristine, and Natural. Each finish, with the exception of Natural, is created on one of the twenty-seven base colors that Uwharrie offers. In additional to the aesthetically pleasing nature of their products, the Uwharrie company has also patented a Ergonomic seat design. The Ergonomic design provides users with a natural, correct, seating position that is easy to get in and out of. |
